Mrowka brings in Charli Crawford as a pitching coach for the Cougars. Crawford is a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. She has a master's in sports administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Most recently, Crawford has been with Murray State College as an assistant softball coach. In addition to being assistant coach, Crawford helped with fundraising, administrative duties, and eligibility for the team. Crawford was awarded the 2023 NFCA National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Under her coaching, Crawford led the Murray State pitching staff to 316 strikeouts with a 2.915 staff ERA. Her pitchers allowed 170 hits with just two home runs.
