Cougars Finish Tied for 13th

The College of Charleston women's golf team shot a 314 in the third round to finish tied for 13th at the Lady Tar Heel Inviational held this weekend at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Vanderbilt shot a 298 today to win the tournament. The tournament this weekend featured 11 of the nation's top 25 teams.
Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll and Florida State's Caroline Westrup tied for individual medalist honors with a three round total of 214, both having shot a 69 in the third round.
Following Vanderbilt's 893 and the win is Virginia in second with an 898.
Megan Miller tied for 28th with a 229 for the Cougars, while Steffi Kirchmayr tied for 33rd with a 230. Fiona Puyo shot a 234 to tie for 49th and Dinah Plyler tied for 63rd with a 239. Emily Rapp shot a 242 to tie for 72nd.
The Cougars are next in action Oct. 15th at the Georgia State/Pelican Preserve Invitational in Fort Myers, Fla.
