"We've worked on the attacking side of the ball a lot this spring, so it was nice to see some of that hard work paying off. We showed some real ability to attack and the Eagles also showed their experience throughout the match.
Coach Dempsey was also impressed with the play of the midfielders. “I thought Katie Browne and Julie Romanik did a really good job of spraying the ball around the field,” said Dempsey. “They got our wide players the ball and that was a key for us. It was great to see Amanda Andrews back playing pain free for the first time in a year and a half. She is our leader and has been through a lot, so I'm really happy for her."
