It marked the first time since the 1996-97 season, the team has accomplished that feat.
Charleston is looking to win its 12th game of the season. Should the Cougars defeat the Eagles, it would mark the quickest that the team has reached 12 wins in its NCAA Division I history. CofC is just four wins away from tying its Division I all-time win total.
Georgia Southern leads the series 25-9 and has won the last three of four games. Charleston defeated the Eagles in the last meeting. The Cougars defeated Georgia Southern, 65-53, in the quarterfinals of the 2008 Southern Conference Tournament. The Cougars last defeated the Eagles at home with a 77-69 decision Dec. 3, 2005.
