T.S. Stern Sloop Regatta

CofC Sails to T.S. Stern Sloop Win

The College of Charleston sailing team won two of three races to earn the victory at the T.S. Stern Sloop Regatta held Oct. 3-4 at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Center in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The Cougars earned a total of five points, five better than second-place Tennessee.
Corey Hall, Chip Swatta and Jeff Aschieris led the Cougar team to the win in the A-Division with five points. Charleston also had a second team compete as Cole Allsopp, Brooks Clark and Andrew Zuber sailed to fourth place with 11 points.
The Cougars travel to Geneva, N.Y. Oct 10-11 for the Hobart Intersectional, as well as to Wakefield, R.I. for the Moody Trophy Regatta. Charleston is also competing at North Points #4 in Wilmington, N.C. and hosting the SAISA Sloop Championships.
