College of Charleston Sailing Finishes Sixth at ACCs

The College of Charleston sailing team posted 10 top five finishes, including a win in the second race, to place sixth at the Atlantic Coast Championship held Nov. 14-15 in Boston, Mass. Boston College won the event with 99 points. Charleston finished with 148 points, just 11 behind fifth-place Georgetown.
The Cougars' Juan Maegli (Guatemala) and Perry Emsiek (Corona de Mar, Ca.) sailed in the A-Division and finished seventh with 82 points, while Jackson Benvenutti (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) and Christina Murray (Annapolis, Md.) led the B-Division to fourth with 66 points, just five from third-place Boston College.
The College of Charleston closes out the fall season Nov. 21-22 when it hosts SAISA/MAISA at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Center in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
