Nevins Trophy Regatta

College of Charleston Sails to Fifth at Nevins Trophy

The College of Charleston sailing team placed third in the A-Division, second in the B-Division and 12th in the C-Division to finish fifth at the Nevins Trophy Regatta held Sept. 19-20 at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. Yale finished with 218 points to win the event. The Cougars totaled 294 points.
Zeke Horowitz and Erin Markee sailed the A-Division to 82 points and third, while Juan Maegli and Perry Emsiek led the B-Division to second with 58 points. Alex Bertrand sailed for the Cougars in the C-Division and earned 12th with 154 points.
The Cougars are next in action Sept. 26-27 at North Points #3 at Clemson S.C. and at the SAISA Women's Championship being held in Atlanta, Ga.
