
Cougars End Six-Game Road Trip at Wofford

The College of Charleston women's basketball team will play the final game of a six-game road trip with a 6 p.m. matchup against the Wofford Terriers in Spartanburg, S.C.
Charleston (4-11, 1-5) owns a 24-6 overall record over Wofford (5-8, 1-4) and has won the last five meetings, including a 65-51 decision in Spartanburg Feb 15, 2010.
The Cougars fell in their first overtime game since the 2008-09 season, dropping 60-56 to Western Carolina Jan. 8. It was the first overtime game for Charleston since the team lost to the same Catamounts, 101-87, in triple overtime of the Southern Conference Championship. Leading the Cougars was Janae Smith (Matteson, Ill.) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. It was her second career double-double.
Two Cougars are averaging in double-figures with Tonia Gerty (Port Orange, Fla.) leading the way with 10.8 a game. Smith follows with 10.1 a game. She also leads the team in rebounds with 5.8 a game.
The Terriers have been idle since Jan. 8 when they lost to Appalachian State, 81-60. Leading Wofford is April Moorhouse with 11.8 points a game. Mahagony Williams follows with 11.2 points. She leads in rebounds with 7.6.
