
Cougars Travel North to Nittany Lion Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. - After a nearly three-week break from competition the College of Charleston women's golf team is back in action as they get set to compete in the Nittany Lion Invitational, hosted by Penn State Sept. 30-Oct. 2 on the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.
The Cougars, who finished 16th in the highly competitive Cougar Classic to open the season will tee off at 1:30 PM on Friday, followed by 8:30 AM-10:15 AM tee times on Saturday and a final round 9:00 AM shotgun start on Sunday.
The Penn State Blue Course, which will host the NCAA Regional Championship May 10-12, is a par-72, 6,229-yard course.
The field of 16 teams in the 36th Nittany Lion Invitational include: College of Charleston, Penn State, Bucknell, Cincinnati, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Harvard, Lehigh, Longwood, Memphis, Monmouth, South Florida, Western Michigan, William & Mary and Yale.
The Cougar lineup will consist of senior Leigh Whittaker, and juniors Kathy Boehm, Vanessa Koechli, Ainhoa Nogales and Anna Martin.
