
Cougars Set Career Bests at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Several College of Charleston women's track & field student-athletes recorded great improvements at the Duke Invitational this weekend.
Sophomore Hayley McMahon won her section and finished seventh overall in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:33.39.
Sophomore Danielle Sams made a 76 second improvement in the 10,000-meter run and she ran the race in a time of 38:29.20 and finished in 13th place.
Freshman Roshani Glover made finals and finished fifth-place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.63 meters. Also qualifying for the final in the shot put was sophomore Tiffany Sisk, who finished seventh in the event with a mark of 13.79 meters.
In the javelin, junior Christine Klinar finished fourth-place with a throw of 39.76 meters.
“I think a lot of people are starting to see the hard work they have put in pay off,” CofC head coach Amy Seago said. “I feel confident that we are moving in the right direction heading into our conference meet.”
Up next the Cougars will compete in the Southern Conference Outdoor Championship April 20-21 at Georgia Southern.
