EUGENE, Ore. –Julisa Tindall (Rock Hill, S.C.) closed out her sophomore campaign at the College of Charleston with a tied for 13th finish in the women's high jump at the 2015 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships held at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon on Sunday.
Tindall, who competed against Olympians and professionals in the 15-participant field, cleared 1.73 meters improving her national ranking by three spots. In May, she was crowned the Colonial Athletic Association champion in the high jump with an outdoor personal-best and school-record mark of 1.83 meters.
“We are very proud of Julisa,” CofC Head Coach Amy Seago said. “This experience was a great way to cap off her sophomore campaign. Exposure to this level of competition will only help her continue to excel in the future. She represented The College with true dignity and class.”
Three-time Olympian and American-record holder Chaunté Lowe won her seventh outdoor national title by clearing 1.91 meters. Tindall was one of six current collegians, who participated in the event among the nation's best in TrackTown USA.
