Cougars Set To Host Match Race Nationals

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- The top-ranked College of Charleston sailing team will sail in three regattas this weekend, most notably the ICSA Match Race National Championships, which will be hosted by the Cougars at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Complex on Friday, November 10 through Sunday, November 12. The Cougars will also participate in the Atlantic Coast Coed on Saturday and Sunday in New York, N.Y., and the Atlantic Coast Women's on Saturday and Sunday in New London, Conn.
The quartet of Christophe Killian (Newport Beach, Calif.), Jack Thompson (Newport Beach, Calif.), Elizabeth Pemberton (Osterville, Mass.), and Stefano Peschiera (Lima, Peru) will represent the Cougars at Match Race Nationals after cruising to an easy victory at the SAISA Match Race.
Alie Toppa and Caroline Bracken (Bridgewater, Mass.) will anchor A-Division for the Cougars at the Atlantic Coast Women's, with Paris Henken (Corona, Calif.), Annabel Carrington (White Stone, Va.), and Elizabeth Mignon (Bay Head, N.J.) sailing in B-Division. At the Atlantic Coast Coed, Augie Dale (Pewaukee, Wis.), Katie Lounsbury (Jensen Beach, Fla.), and Carter Cameron (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) will sail in A-Division, while Steven Leuck (San Diego, Calif.) and Payton Alexander will represent the Cougars in B-Division.
