Cougars Finish Seventh At Charleston Women's Sunday

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's sailing team finished seventh at the Charleston Women's on Sunday, coming in four points behind sixth-place Georgetown.
The Cougars' duo of junior skipper Paris Henken (Coronado, Calif.) and senior crew Irene Abascal (Guatemala City, Guatemala) accumulated 69 points to place sixth in A-Division. Freshman skipper Alie Toppa and the crew tandem of Annabel Carrington (White Stone, Va.) and Caroline Bracken (Bridgewater, Mass.) posted 67 points in B-Division.
The Cougars will participate in three regattas next weekend, including the North Points #2 in Clemson, S.C. on Saturday, March 4; the ODU Spring Women's in Norfolk, Va. on March 4-5; and the Bob Bavier Team Race on March 4-5 at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Complex.
