CHARLESTON, S.C. – Basketball season is almost here and this year's College of Charleston Basketball Block Party is set for Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on George Street (between Glebe and Saint Philip Streets).
 
Both the College of Charleston men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced with DJ Natty Heavy spinning his tunes throughout the tip-off event. Head coaches Earl Grant and Candice M. Jackson will also be in attendance for autograph opportunities with their teams.
 
The cheer and dance teams will be on hand as well as a special debut performance by Chucktown Sound under the direction of Director of Athletic Bands Christopher Gongora.
 
Papa John's and the Kickin' Chicken Food Truck will provide free food to students, while posters and schedule cards will be available at the CofC Marketing & Promotions table.
