
Jordin Jones Tabbed CAA Co-Player of the Week

Richmond, Va. – College of Charleston senior outfielder Jordin Jones has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week after powering the Cougars to three victories in four games including a series win over Drexel.
Jones is the third Cougar honored by the league this year, joining fellow team captains Taylor DuPree and Kelly Sinclair.
Jones went 8-for-14 (.571) as the Cougars defeated Charleston Southern and took two of three from the Dragons. In Friday's doubleheader sweep over Drexel, she had five hits and five RBI, including a two-run homer and two-run single in a 7-3 win in the opener and two hits, a double and RBI in a 4-1 victory in the nightcap.
An accounting major from Inez, Texas, Jones is 11-for-18 (.611) with five extra base hits and eight RBI in CAA play. Overall she is batting .308 with eight doubles, four home runs and 32 RBI and ranks eighth in school history with 20 home runs and 103 RBI.
The Cougars play at Charleston Southern tomorrow at 4 before heading to Hofstra to resume CAA play this weekend.
