Cougars Shoot Low Final Round To Tie For 15th at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The College of Charleston women's golf team shot a final-round, 4-over par 292 to tie Coastal Carolina for 15th (+41) at the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Tallahassee Regional held at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course & Club.
Sophomore Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.) was the Cougars' top finisher shooting +7 for the regional to tie for 51st including a final-round 73 with two birdies on the 7th and 9th. Junior Isi Nilsson (Santiago, Chile) shot even par with four birdies on the final day to finish tied for 68th (+11).
Freshman Olivia Hamilton (Oakenshaw, England) also carded a 73 in the final round, while junior Anna Buchanan (Athens, Ga.) shot a 74 with three birdies to contribute to the team's low round of the tournament.
"It was nice to finish the season on a high note with a great round today," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "This was a great experience for the team. This group has a great chance to get back here and this experience should help them in the future."
No. 2-ranked Alabama won the regional shooting 33-under par and advanced to nationals along with second-place and No. 28 Florida State (-25), third-place and No. 7 Furman (-18), fourth-place and No. 10 Arizona (-11), fifth-place and No. 15 Washington (-10) and sixth-place and No. 18 Wake Forest (-5).
