
Cougars Snag Fourth at Yale Women's

NEW HAVEN, Conn. --- College of Charleston turned in a pair of solid performances this weekend at the Yale Women's and Coed Showcase Finals finishing fourth and seventh respectively.
The Cougars finished the Yale Women's 20 points behind regatta winner Yale in fourth with a total of 174 points on Saturday and Sunday in New Haven, Conn. Nicole Simon skippered the Cougars to 76 points and a second-place finish in B-Division. Hannah Kinder crewed 10 races while Julia Jeffries crewed the remaining three. Marian Williams teamed with crews Natasha Scott Morton and Emily Essi for 98 points and a fifth-place performance in A-Division.
Charleston capped the weekend with a seventh-place finish at the Coed Showcase Championship Finals on Saturday and Sunday in New London, Conn. The Cougars totaled 155 points to finish four tallies behind sixth-place Yale. Jack Brown and Katie Lounsbury accumulated 78 points in A-Division while Steven Leuck and Noelle Owen collected 77 points in B-Division.
The Cougars are back on the water next weekend when they travel to Wilmington, N.C. for the SAISA Fall Women's Championship on Saturday.
