Charlottesville, Va. – The College of Charleston wrapped up its cross country season on Friday at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships at the University of Virginia.
Hayden DiBona finished off a fall season in which he led the Cougars in each meet. The senior covered the 10K Panorama Farms course in a time of 32:44.1, just ahead of teammate Sam Beattie, who had a time of 32:50.3
Ryan Moosbrugger (33:04.5) and Jack Wedge (33:08.6) both established PR times at the 10K distance. Rounding out the men's runners were Evan Peirce (34:04.3), Tyler Fish (34:06.7) and Zac Palmer (35:38.8).
Kristen Cherry led the Cougar women with a 6K time of 22:32.4, marking the first time the sophomore has been the top finisher among her teammates.
Cherry was followed by Cate Ambrose (22:32.8), Rhian Purves (22:58.3), Tess Masselink (23:10.8), Emily Dorony (23:12.6), Amber Scott (23:39.1) and Isabel Muehleman (24:57.5).
The Cougars now turn their attention to track and field with the first indoor meet scheduled for the Gamecock Open on January 17-18 in Columbia.
