
Bouknight Named Director of Operations

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Richard Bouknight joins the College of Charleston as Director of Operations.
He previously served as Event Operations Manager at the University of South Carolina from 2012-19.
"I am delighted to have Richard join our athletics department and serve as our Director of Operations," College of Charleston Associate Athletics Director Jamaal Walton said. "It was clear during the process that he had the experience, work ethic and energy to help our department continue to grow."
While at USC, Bouknight handled a diverse assortment of roles and assisted with the oversight of the day-to-day event management/facilities operations for all 19 varsity sports teams and athletic venues. He also helped oversee the hosting of postseason events including the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds held in Columbia.
Originally from West Columbia, S.C., Bouknight is a 2010 graduate of Clemson University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business management. He later completed his master's degree coursework in sport & entertainment management from South Carolina in 2018.
Bouknight is also a 2018 graduate of the Sport Management Institute (SMI). He and his fiancé, Kaylin, currently reside on Daniel Island.
