Cougars Reserve Champion at Georgia Southern Fall IHSA Show

BROOKLET, Ga. – In its season opener, five blue-ribbons rides led the College of Charleston equestrian team to a reserve champion high-point finish at the Georgia Southern Fall IHSA Show held at Evermore Farm on Sunday.

Seniors Molly Coyle (Davidsonville, Md.) and Samantha Bledsoe (St. Charles, Ill.) led the way for the Cougars placing first in the Intermediate Flat and Limit Flat classes respectively.

Junior Lauren Duffy (Alexandria, Va.) took home a blue ribbon in Novice Flat, while sophomore Morgan Hazeltine (Hingham, Mass.) rode to a first-place finish in Pre-Novice Flat.

In her collegiate riding debut, freshman Emma Avent (Arlington, Va.) won her class in Intermediate Fences to mark her first IHSA win of her career.

Up next, CofC will continues its fall season at the two-day South Carolina Horse Show on Oct. 12-13 at Three Fox Farm in Blythewood, S.C.
