CHARLESTON, S.C. – After successfully executing its Come "C" Us call-to-action marketing and promotions campaign three years ago, College of Charleston Athletics launches a new campaign – Cougars Fight On!
The mission of the Cougars Fight On! campaign is to uplift and unite the College of Charleston and the surrounding campus community, including the city of Charleston, during unprecedented times for all.
Earlier this year, the COVID-19 pandemic suspended spring competition as well as fall competition for more than 350 student-athletes at The College. Together, with determination, passion and perseverance, the Cougars (coaches, student-athletes and staff) will continue to fight and band together for one common cause.
The campaign will kick off highlighting fall sports (men's and women's soccer, volleyball and men's and women's cross country) and later winter and spring sports. Additional community engagement initiatives will be part of the Cougars Fight On! campaign.
Cougar Relief Fund
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented the entire world with unprecedented hardships and CofC Athletics is no exception. In the face of these hardships, the athletics department has taken proactive and on-going measures to make significant changes to its overall budget and prevent long-term negative impacts.
The Cougar Relief Fund was designed and created to lessen the severity of the impact COVID-19 has presented to student-athletes, facilities and the fan experience. With funds raised from this initiative through the Charleston Athletic Fund (CAF), CofC Athletics will not only be able to maintain the world-class experience it provides its CofC Family, but also additional support for CofC student-athletes during these trying times.
For more information, please contact the CAF by phone at: (843)953-8255 or e-mail at: athleticfund@cofc.edu
Cougar Fan Cutouts
Fans will be able to purchase cutouts that will be placed inside of TD Arena for all College of Charleston men's and women's basketball home games during the 2020-21 season. This initiative will enhance the overall atmosphere and visual presence inside TD Arena (which will be at a 30 percent capacity).
Proceeds from the sale of Cougar Fan Cutouts will go directly to CofC Athletics to support student-athletes. These dollars will help fill the funding gap created by COVID-19. Cougar Fan Cutouts can be purchased and made for anyone in the family including kids, grandchildren, pets and more!
Campaign Gear On Sale
Cougars Fight On! merchandise including T-shirts (women's, long sleeve and youth size options), mugs, hoodies and tote bags are now available for purchase and proceeds will directly benefit CofC Athletics.
More products will be added throughout the campaign at:
