CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team (2-11-3, 1-5-1) fell 2-1 at home to Northeastern (7-7-1, 4-3) on Sunday afternoon. The seniors on the team were honored for their contributions and achievements in a ceremony before the match.

The Cougars got on the board first, scoring in the 16
th minute.
Faith Slimmer took a free kick and fired a strike that hit the top of the post. The ball ball deflected to
Bunny Nazari, who cleaned up the rebound and scored a goal to give CofC a 1-0 lead in the first half.

Just eight minutes before half time, the Huskies found the equalizer. In the 41
st minute, CofC's
Olivia Freitas had a scoring chance saved that preserved the 1-1 score. The match would eventually enter half time with a 1-1 score.

st minute, goalkeeper
Meredith Holton made a save that kept the match knotted up at 1-1. Just over ten minutes later, the Huskies scored in the 62
nd minute to grab the lead. Northeastern was able to maintain that lead for the remainder of the match to hang on for the 2-1 victory.
