Cougars Win First Show Of The Season at Georgia Southern

BROOKLET, Ga. – The College of Charleston equestrian team won its first show of the season in a doubleheader versus Georgia Southern held at Evermore Farm on Saturday.

Junior Kate Coffey (Westford, Mass.), who competed in the Open Flat and Fences class, was the reserve high-point rider of the competition.

"I am so proud of this team today," CofC Head Coach Natasha V. McCarthy said. "Everyone was focused and the results reflected in the show ring. The freshmen really were strong and the leadership from the upperclassman was simply outstanding."

The Cougars will return to action at the Lander University Horse Show on Saturday, March 6 in Greenwood, S.C.
