MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team won flights one through three to rally from a 2-0 deficit and defeat UNCW, 3-2, to open play at the CofC Invitational on Saturday morning at the Creekside Tennis & Swim Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars dropped the first two flights at four's and five's before bouncing back with wins at one's, two's and three's to claim their second straight win.

PAIR OF THE DAY
Ella Ridinger and Kyra Thompson delivered the decisive point at three's after rallying from a 1-0 deficit to win 15-21, 21-19, 15-6. The victory marks the duo's sixth win of the season.

NOTABLES

Ella Reames and Maria Zweig won in straight sets at two's to record their 10^th win of the season.
Sky Benjamin and Ella Reames evened the match for the Cougars with a 21-15, 21-19 victory at one's.
Mikaela Dougherty and Lilly Johnson pushed their opponents to three sets in a 6-21, 22-20, 10-15 battle at five's.
