CONWAY, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team dropped a pair of closely-contested matches to No. 16 Stetson and UNCW on the opening day of the Coastal Carolina Invitational on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars fell to No. 16 Stetson, 4-1, in their first match of the day as Ella Reames and Maria Zweig pushed their season-opening win streak to five matches. Charleston then dropped their second match of the day to UNCW, 3-2 with wins at one's and three's.
PAIR OF THE DAY
Reames and Zweig went 2-0 on the day to push their unblemished start to the season to 6-0. The duo posted a 24-22, 21-14 win in the fourth flight against Stetson before defeating UNCW's three's 21-13, 21-11.
