
Dunagan Top Finisher For Cougars at The Stitch Intercollegiate

CARY, N.C. – College of Charleston graduate senior Hunter Dunagan (Augusta, Ga.) was the Cougars' top finisher with a three-round, 5-under par total of 211 on the final day of the Stitch Intercollegiate held on Saturday at MacGregor Downs Country Club.
Dunagan turned in rounds of 70, 69 and 72 to finish in an eight-way tie for 17th in the 69-player field comprised of four Top 100-ranked college golfers. No. 31-ranked Pontus Nyholm of Campbell was the individual medalist (-17).
All five of the Cougars' starters carded 54-hole totals even-or-better showing how strong of a field it was.
CofC placed seventh overall with an 845 (-19) – just four strokes back of No. 40 Duke (-23), which finished sixth. No. 9 and host NC State (-51) won the team title, while No. 26 Notre Dame (-39) was runner-up.
Graduate senior Christian Baliker (Greenville, S.C.) fired the lowest round by any Cougar this weekend with a final-round and season-low 68 with six birdies.
The Cougars will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship to be held on April 25-27 at the Dataw Island Club on St. Helena Island, S.C.
