CHARLESTON, S.C. – The top-seeded College of Charleston men's golf team will be one of eight conference schools vying for this year's Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship title as postseason competition runs April 25-27 at Dataw Island Club in Saint Helena Island, S.C.
The team champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,787-yard Tom Fazio-designed Cotton Dike Course.
The Cougars are led by graduate senior and two-time all-conference selection Logan Sowell (Kershaw, S.C.), who tied for fifth at the 2019 Championship and competed as an individual at the NCAA Athens Regional.
He is a part of a veteran starting lineup that includes graduate senior Hunter Dunagan (Augusta, Ga.), freshman Zach Reuland (Rock Hill, S.C.), graduate senior Michael Sass (Louisville, Ky.) and graduate senior Christian Baliker (Greenville, S.C.). In just his rookie campaign, Reuland has been the top finisher for Charleston in three tournaments this spring and boasts a team-best 72.49 stroke average.
James Madison is the No. 2 seed followed by Elon, Drexel, William & Mary, Delaware, Towson and Hofstra. Two-time defending champion UNCW had to withdraw from the event due to COVID-19 protocols.

"Postseason is here, and as a team, we couldn't be more energized. We have gained a great deal of confidence over the past few weeks thanks to low rounds in both practice and tournaments. Dataw Island Club hosts an intriguing layout that will allow teams to make plenty of birdies early in their round, which should make for an exciting championship from start-to-finish." – College of Charleston Head Coach Mitch Krywulycz
