Deutsch and Powell Selected To All-CAA Third Team

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston senior defender Leah Deutsch (Ashburn, Va.) and sophomore forward Grace Powell (Daniel Island, S.C.) were both selected to the All-Colonial Athletic Association Third Team as the league's postseason awards were announced on Thursday.
It was the second career nod for Deutsch, who played and started in all nine games of the season for the Cougars. She logged in 734 minutes as a key member of CofC's backline.
During her four-year career at The College, Deutsch saw action in 63 games with 58 starts. She tallied seven points with career goals versus FIU and Charleston Southern in 2018. Deutsch will graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in finance.
Powell also played and started in all nine games of the season scoring her third career goal at James Madison on March 28. She was the team's second-leading scorer.
