CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will play host to in-state foes Furman and The Citadel in a pair of exhibition games this week at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.
The Cougars and Paladins meet Tuesday at 7 p.m., and the Bulldogs provide the opposition Saturday at 7 p.m. There will be no admission charge to CofC home soccer games during the 2021 season.
Furman is coming off an 8-1-2 season last spring. The Paladins won the Southern Conference Tournament title and suffered their only loss to Rice in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Citadel was 7-9-3 in a crossover fall/spring schedule.
After meeting as SoCon opponents from 1998-2012, CofC and Furman played in 2018 and 2019 with the Paladins winning both times. The Cougars have won 14 of 15 matchups against the Bulldogs with the last meeting coming in 2016.
