
Men's Basketball Looks for Eighth Straight Win at Presbyterian

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team will look to pick up their eighth straight victory tomorrow when they travel to Presbyterian to take on the Blue Hose. It will be Charleston 's second straight road contest and third of the season.

- The Charleston Cougars enter tonight's contest on a seven-game win streak, most recently taking down Holy City rival The Citadel 79-57 on Saturday. The Citadel and Presbyterian played on November 10 with the Bulldogs walking away with the 70-58 home victory.
- The Blue Hose currently hold the all-time series edge with a 19-10 record. The teams last met on December 12, 2021 when the Cougars came away victorious 78-76 after an overtime buzzer beater winner at TD Arena.
- The Cougars are currently ranked third in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll behind Gonzaga and Drake. CofC is also receiving votes in the AP Top 25, just two spots outside of with 54 points.
- Pat Kelsey's program leads the CAA in scoring offense (81.2 ppg) and has won their last two contests by an average of 18.5 points.
- Charleston is ranked 49 in the Division I Men's Basketball NET Rankings currently holding a Q1 win over Kent State and a Q2 win over Virginia Tech.
- Rebounding has the been the story of success for the Cougars, who lead the CAA in team offensive rebounds (13.0 rpg) and combined team rebounds (38.9 rpg).
- Ante Brzvoic paced CofC with his first double-double of the season at The Citadel with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
- Presbyterian is coming off a 76-63 loss to Wofford on December 1. Crosby James had a game-high 18 points for the Blue Hose going 4-5 from behind the arc.
- The Cougars have been rewarded for their efforts and are receiving votes in both major polls and are currently ranked #3 in the CollegeInsider. com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
- Kelsey's squad received 54 points in the latest AP Poll, two spots outside of the top 25.
- Charleston is ranked 49 in the first NET Rankings of the season with one Q1 win over Kent State and a Q2 win over Virginia Tech.
