
Men's Basketball Hosts Kids Day Sponsored by Great Clips

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team returns to TD Arena on Sunday afternoon to face North Greenville at 2:00 p.m. The game, sponsored by Great Clips, will serve as Kids Day with special promotions on youth tickets as well as the opportunity for a post-game autograph session with the Cougars. - The Charleston Cougars enter tonight's contest on an eight-game win streak, most recently taking down Presbyterian 67-62 on Tuesday night in Clinton.
- The Cougars are currently ranked third in the CollegeInsider.com MidMajor Top 25 poll behind Gonzaga and Drake. CofC is also receiving votes in the AP Top 25, just two spots outside of with 54 points.
- Charleston is ranked 49 in the Division I Men's Basketball NET Rankings currently holding a Q1 win over Kent State and a Q2 win over Virginia Tech.
- Rebounding has the been the story of success for the Cougars, who lead the CAA in team offensive rebounds (13.0 rpg) and combined team rebounds (38.7 rpg).
- Pat Kelsey has solidified a ten-man rotation that has shown a different star each game. Raekwon Horton led the Cougars vs. Presbyterian with 15 points followed by Ryan Larson with 13 points and six rebounds and Pat Robinson III with 12 points.
- The Cougars 32 points at halftime vs. Presbyterian tied the program's lowest halftime total this season (ODU, 11-29) ? This will be the first meeting in program history for Charleston and North Greenville with the contest counting as an exhibition for the Crusaders.
- CofC is the third D1 team North Greenville has faced this season after opening the year against Furman (L, 91-55) and an 11-23 battle with Wofford (L, 70-59).
- Charleston opened the season playing six straight programs that participated in 2022 March Madness (Chattanooga, #1 North Carolina, Richmond, Davidson, Colorado State, Virginia Tech)
- All seven of the opposing teams the Cougars opened the season (Kent State) with were rated higher than the Cougars in the KenPom ratings.
- This week marks the first time the Cougars have been ranked below 100 this season at 99.
- The Cougars have been rewarded for their efforts and are receiving votes in both major polls and are currently ranked #3 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
- Kelsey's squad received 54 points in the latest AP Poll, two spots outside of the top 25.
- Charleston is ranked 49 in the first NET Rankings of the season with one Q1 win over Kent State and a Q2 win over Virginia Tech.
- Youth tickets are available for just $10 while youth packages including a replica jersey are available for $20. The first 200 kids will also receive a free basketball coin bank.
- Fans are invited to join the Cougars on the court for post-game autographs following the game
- Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tipoff
- Concession stands will open when doors open, and the Cougar Spirit Shop will open one hour prior to tipoff.
- The TD Arena Box Office is open Monday – Friday beginning at 9AM and opens 3 hours prior to tipoff for Saturday & Sunday games. Tickets can be purchased at www.cofcsports.com/tickets
