STORYLINES
- CofC hits the road for unprecedented road trip that will feature four games in eight days away from the friendly confines of TD Arena. The Cougars have won five true road games already this season, including two of their last three after victories at Elon and William & Mary.
- Following the 3-point loss to Towson, 13 of Charleston's 26 games this season have been decided by five or fewer points with CofC going 8-5 in such contests. The Cougars have only been beaten by double digits once this season, at Oklahoma State on Nov. 22.
- With the exception of back-to-back blow out wins vs. Northeastern and William & Mary, 12 of CofC's 14 conference matchups have been decided by single digits.
- In its last matchup with Northeastern, the Cougars snapped a five-game losing skid in the all-time series with the Huskies. CofC won by 18 points on Jan. 29, the largest margin of victory over Northeastern in program history.
- The Cougars enter Monday night's clash in Boston seeking back-to-back wins over the Huskies for the first time since 2018. A victory would also give CofC just its second regular season sweep over Northeastern in program history.
- With a pair of triples on Saturday afternoon vs. Towson, Reyne Smith has 70 during his freshman season. That ranks 14th all-time at CofC for single-season triples. Smith is just four triples shy of breaking the all-time freshmen record at The College for threes in a season.
- Senior Dimitrius Underwood is CofC's leader in rebounds, assists and steals. His 58 steals leads CofC, rank 19th nationally and 12th on Charleston's all-time single-season steals list. Underwood is coming off his first double-double as a Div. 1 player (14 points, 12 rebounds) vs. James Madison. Then he followed with a career-high 21 points, 11 boards, six assists and three steals in a monster game vs. Towson. Underwood has back-to-back double doubles for the first time in his career.
- After surpassing the 1,000 career point mark at UNCW, John Meeks has reached double figures in 17 of 22 game appearances this season. Meeks is averaging 14.5 PPG. He is the seventh Cougar to score at that high of a rate since Charleston became a member of the CAA, joining an illustrious list that includes Zep Jasper, Brevin Galloway, Grant Riller, Canyon Barry, Joe Chealey and Jarrell Brantley. Meeks ranks fifth in the CAA in scoring this season.
- The Cougars outrebounded JMU by six and snagged 24 offensive rebounds, the most by CofC since 2010. CofC is now one of five teams that have racked up that many in a game against another Div. I opponent this season. Charleston ranks third nationally in offensive rebounding and seventh nationally in total rebounds per game. CofC has been outrebounded just once in CAA play.
