CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will host its first of two tournaments at Creekside Tennis and Swim Club this weekend when the Cougars welcome Coastal Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville and Morehead State to the Lowcountry for the CofC Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Charleston carries a five-match winning streak into the weekend after posting a 5-1 record on its Florida swing over spring break. The Cougars stand at 6-4 on the season thus far and sport four pairings with at least four wins.
 
THE OPPONENTS

• Eastern Kentucky is looking for its first win of the season after falling to Carson-Newman, Chattanooga and Tusculum at Tusculum's tournament on February 25-26.
• Florida Gulf Coast comes into the week with a 5-3 mark and a three-match winning streak following a 3-2 win over Palm Beach Atlantic last Saturday.
• Jacksonville enters the weekend with a 4-6 record after posting a pair of 5-0 victories against St. John's River on Wednesday. The Dolphins have also defeated Nebraska and Erskine as the season begins its third week.
• Morehead State carries a 2-0 mark into this weekend's CofC Classic following victories over Liberty and Lincoln Memorial on opening weekend at the Ohio Valley/Grand Sands.

QUICK SETS

• Gabi Bailey and Kyra Thompson pace the Cougars with a 6-1 record and carry a six-match winning streak into the weekend.
• Emma Falk and Maria Zweig have compiled an unblemished 5-0 mark since being partnered together at the Battle on the Bay in St. Petersburg, Fla. last weekend.
• Amani Dunston and Ella Reames have won three straight and come into the weekend with a 4-1 record.
• Sky Benjamin and Sofie Vogel evened their season record at 5-5 with two straight-set wins on Tuesday to push their win streak to five matches.
