
Cougars Wrap Up Round 2 at NCAA National Championships

CofC tees off the final round at 4:10 ET Sunday
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – The College of Charleston Men's Golf squad finished up the second round of the 2022 NCAA National Championships on Saturday. The Cougars are in 30th as a team at 58-over par after carding a 33-over par in Round Two at the Par-70 Raptor Course at Grayhawk Golf Club.
CofC will tee off the third round of stroke play Sunday in the afternoon wave beginning at 1:10 local time/4:10 p.m. ET.
Freshman Kieron van Wyk is leading the Cougars at T-97. He shot a 7-over par 77 on Saturday and is 9-over for the week. Van Wyk birdied the fourth hole and carded 10 pars in Round 2.
Freshman Tim Bertenbreiter subbed in the lineup on Saturday and shot a 7-over 77, tied for the best score on the team in Round 2. Bertenbreiter tallied two birdies and eight pars.
Freshman Nevill Ruiter is T-135 at 16-over par with senior Jack Parrott and sophomore Zach Reuland at 149 (22-over par) and 150 (23-over par) respectively. Parrott birdied four holes on Saturday including a chip-in birdie on the 17th hole.
