
Cougars Fall to UNLV in Road Challenge

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell in their first road game of the season, 85-60, to the UNLV Lady Rebels on Friday, November 10th in Cox Pavilion.
The Cougars struggled to get shots to fall, finishing the first half with a 25 percent shooting percentage. At the half, Jada Logan and Alexis Andrews were leading Charleston with 8 points each. Also contributing was Taryn Barbot with 7 points heading into the locker room.
Coming out in the third quarter, the Lady Rebels were able to control the pace, taking a 29-point lead into the final quarter.
In the fourth, the Cougars were able to outscore UNLV 19-15, however they were not able to overcome the large deficit.
UNLV was led by Mountain West Conference MVP Desi-Rae Young, who led the Lady Rebels with a double-double, putting up 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Alexis Andrews finished the matchup leading Charleston with 22 points. Also contributing to the Cougars' 60 points is Jada Logan with 15 and Taryn Barbot with 8.
Ten Cougars saw minutes in Las Vegas, with eight players putting points on the board.
