Men's Basketball Looks to Bounce Back in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Sunday in the team's final game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational vs. Coastal Carolina.

STORYLINES

After winning the season opener vs. Iona, the Cougars have suffered three consecutive losses.
The Cougars dominated the glass in their last outing vs. Wyoming, especially on the offensive side of the ball grabbing 23 offensive rebounds compared to Wyoming's five. Charleston won the overall rebounding battle 38-32 and currently ranks 52^nd in the nation in offensive rebounds per game.
Ben Burnham currently leads the Cougars with 13.5 points per game followed closely by Ante Brzovic with 13.3. The junior duo also leads the team in rebounds per game, with Brzovic grabbing 6.0 and Burnham 5.5 per game. Frankie Policelli has averaged 5.3 per game through the four contests.
Charleston will face Coastal Carolina once more this season on December 18 at TD Arena. The Cougars defeated the Chanticleers a season ago in Conway 83-69. This will be the 41^st all-time meeting between the programs with the Cougars holding a decisive 32-9 edge.

SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA

The Chanticleers are 1-2 on the year with their lone victory coming over Division III Piedmont College in an 88-86 victory. Coastal Carolina fell to Wichita State and Furman in their first two contest of the Myrtle Beach Invitational.
Jacob Meyer paces Coastal Carolina with 15.0 point per game followed by Kylan Blackmore with 14.0. Blackmon posted a career-high 23 points in Friday's loss to Furman.
Kevin Easley (13.3) and John Ojiako (11.3) are the third and fourth Chanticleers to average double-digit points in the young season.
