CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston mens' basketball team welcomes Montreat to TD Arena to close out 2023. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.

STORYLINES

Charleston returns from the holiday break to take on Montreat College. The Cavaliers compete in the NAIA's Appalachian Athletic Conference.
The Cougars are coming off an 89-82 victory over Saint Joseph's on December 21 handing the Hawks just their third loss of the season. Reyne Smith had a career-high 31 points and set the CofC single game three-point record with nine makes.
Montreat previously played CAA foe UNCW on December 10 in Wilmington. The Seahawks won the contest 119-50.
Smith currently ranks fourth all-time in career triples made at Charleston (219). One more would move him into third all-time.
The Cougars currently rank third in the nation in three-point attempts per game (31.1). They rank 31st in three-pointers per game (9.7).
Three Cougars have all reached milestones in the last contests. Ante Brzovic and Frankie Policelli both surpassed 1,000 career points while Bryce Butler hit 2,000 career points.

NATIONAL RANKINGS

The Cougars can be seen in several national statistic rankings. Charleston is currently 15th in the country in bench points per game (33.58), third in the country in three points attempts per game (31.1) and 39th in offensive rebounds per game (13.25).
CJ Fulton ranks 18th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (3.40). That mark leads the CAA.
