
Men's Basketball Hosts Towson in Nationally Televised Broadcast

CHARLESTON, S.C. - In the penultimate contest of the regular season, the College of Charleston men's basketball team will host Towson on Thursday, February 23 at at TD Arena.. The game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network with action set for 7:00 p.m. on George Street.

- Charleston is coming off five-straight victories by an average of 24 points. The Cougars 26 wins are the most in the country while their 89.7 winning percentage is good for second in the nation behind Houston (92.6, 25-2).
- Pat Kelsey's team has locked up a top two seed for next week's Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship. Towson and UNCW have secured top four seeds and first rounds byes along with the Cougars and Hofstra.
- The Cougars currently rank third in the nation in bench points per game (33.45) and lead the country in offensive rebounds per game (13.86). The team also made a season-high 18 treys at Elon on February 16. That number is tied for the second best performance in school history.
- This is Towson and Charleston's second meeting this season and 23rd meeting all-time. Charleston holds a 14-8 series edge, most recently defeating the Tigers 76-74 in OT on New Year's Eve in Towson.
- Charleston held a 35-35 halftime edge on December 31 before the Tigers stormed back to take a 68-66 lead with 32 seconds remaining. Reyne Smith hit a shot from behind the arc with 18 seconds to play to give CofC a 69- 68. A late Cougar foul gave Towson a trip to the charity stripe. The Tigers converted one shot to send the game to OT where the Cougars outscored the Tigers 7-5. Two Pat Robinson III free throws and a defensive rebound from Smith sealed the win
- Nicolas Timberlake leads the Tigers in scoring, averaging 17.3 points per game followed by Cam Holden with 14.2 points per game.
- Charles Thompson and Holden pace the rebounding efforts, grabbing 4.6 and 4.4 boards per game respectively.
- Timberlake posted 26 points in the Tigers' last outing, a 87-75 win over North Carolina A&T. Thompson had a double-double in the contest with 15 points and 17 rebounds.
- Fans are encouraged to get loud and wear black for the annual Black Out game of the season. Additionally, fans will have a t-shirt placed on their seat and are encouraged to wear it with Cougar pride!
- CofC is also proud to introduce a new light show synced with the Cougar's starting lineup introductions. Fans should plan to download the CUE Live app to their mobile devices. QR codes will also be accessible in TD Arena to join the fun. The CUE Live app will only work on mobile devices.

- Thursday's home game will be the first of two straight contests for the Cougars on CBS Sports Network with John Fanta and Tarik Turner on the call.
- As always, fans can listen live with the Voice of the Cougars Everett German on the Varsity App.
- Thursday's contest is officially sold out. Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tipoff.
- Concession stands will open when doors open, and the Cougar Spirit Shop will open one hour prior to tipoff. There will also be cash only satellite beer and water areas around the concourse.
- The TD Arena Box Office is open Monday – Friday beginning at 9AM and opens 3 hours prior to tipoff for Saturday & Sunday games.
- If you selected mobile tickets, add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay App prior to arriving at TD Arena for the smoothest entry experience.
