
Cougars Set for Women’s SAISA Races, Thompson Trophy

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing hosts two SAISA women's races this weekend on home waters and sends a team to Connecticut for the Thompson Trophy at the US Coast Guard.
Charleston looks to capture Women's SAISA titles as Grace Squires, Marina Dryer, Emma Tallman, Roxanne Snyder, Rowan Schanley, Emily Alfortish, Chloe Hudgins and Fredrikke Foss will represent the Cougars.
Charleston will take on Eckerd, USF, NC State and Jacksonville in a pair of round robins in the SAISA Open Race with a Final Four scheduled after.
In the SAISA Fleet Race, Charleston is set to compete against Eckerd, Emrby-Riddle, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville, NC State, Rollins, Georgia, Miami and South Florida across two divisions.
Charleston's rotation of Axel Stordahl, Noelle Owen, Brandon Geller, Lucy Klempen, Garrett Grenauer, Noah Zittrer, Anna Sherry, Ty Ryan and Benjamin Dufour will compete for the Thompson Trophy. The Cougars are set to sail against Stanford, Harvard, Connecticut College, Yale, Boston, Brown, Dartmouth, Rhode Island, MIT, Bowdoin and US Coast Guard.
