
Cougars Look for Tenth Straight Win Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston finishes a three-game home stand by welcoming the Towson Tigers to TD Arena on Thursday. The Cougars have won nine straight and hold the country's sixth longest winning streak.

- The Cougars are currently 4-0 in CAA play while the Tigers sit at 2-2. Both teams have played Stony Brook and Monmouth thus far - Towson defeated Stony Brook in overtime and fell to Monmouth to open league play.
- Charleston averaged 14 more rebounds per game than their competition last week while winning both contests by double-figures and shooting 45% from the field.
- The teams last met in the CAA semifinals a season ago in Washington, D.C. After being down at halftime, Charleston mounted a second-half comeback behind a personal 14-0 run by Reyne Smith to earn a spot in the title game. The Cougars
went on to win the league crown and earn a spot in March Madness. Smith had 20 points in the game followed by Ante Brzovic with 19. - Charleston holds the 16-9 series advantage. Three of those wins came during the 2022-23 season.
- The Cougars rank ninth in the country in bench points per game (34.47). Charleston bench has outscored their CAA competitors 126-41 throughout their four league games.
- Charleston ranks third in the nation in three-point attempts per game (31.5) and ranks 17th in made three pointers per game (10.0).
- Floor general CJ Fulton is ninth in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (3.79). The Ireland native has committed just three turnovers in CAA play.
- Smith will be one to Cougar to watch over the next several contests has he inches closer to 1,000 career points. The junior from Tasmania enters Thursday's contest with 957 career points.
- The Tigers are coming off a 67-59 loss at Northeastern on Saturday. Nendah Tarke led the Tigers with 17 points adding three steals in the loss.
- Christian May leads Towson with 11.4 points per game followed by Tyler Tejada with 10.8. Charles Thompson paces the Tigers on the boards with 8.3 rebounds per game.
- Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off
