CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's cross country team travels to Richmond, Va., to run in the USATF Championships on Saturday.
The championships consist of six separate races, with the U20 Men's 8k starting at 11:30 a.m. and the 10k Open Men's event starting at 2:50 p.m.
The Cougars will have two freshmen entered in the 8k including Ben Ashmore and Rob DiMedio.
Eight athletes are entered in the 10k, including Hammer Blair, Roger Brown, Tucker Green, Andrew Fielding, Joshua Keifer, Kyle Nitsche, Dylan McTigue and Jackson Reid.
"I'm excited for the guys this weekend and the opportunity that USATF Cross Country Champ brings," said graduate assistant Jackson Wedge. "As someone who competed in this race last year, I know firsthand that it's a really great chance for the team to showcase the fitness they've built up throughout the winter. This year is a bit different for me, but I believe my familiarity with this race can better serve our guys competing this weekend."
This will be the final cross country race of the season for the Cougars.
