CHARLESTON, S.C. - TD Arena received a back-of-house upgrade over the summer of 2024 thanks to a full-scale project with improved wall branding, upgraded lighting, new flooring and refreshed color palette installed and designed by Stephens Direct. Stephens Direct completed approximately 10,000 square feet of graphics and painting work and 6k of vinyl flooring.
In total, 58 unique vinyl graphic treatments were installed with three additional backlit structures. The displays focus on embracing all that Charleston has to offer, including game day environments and iconic images such as the Ravenel Bridge and Pineapple Fountain. Accentuated column graphics enhance hallway profiles while all door and locker room entrances also received upgrades.
"We are so excited and grateful to see the amazing progress made at TD Arena. These upgrades have completely transformed the first floor and will help us continue to provide a world-class student-athlete experience for all our student-athletes who utilize these areas," said Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations Richard Bouknight. "We also owe a huge thank you to Stephens Direct for their work throughout this process. They were incredible to work with and showed great attention to detail and execution throughout every stage of the process."
Westlake LED light fixtures were installed in each hallway to showcase the graphics and brighten the space. New heavy commercial luxury vinyl was placed throughout the first-floor walkways, replacing the old tiling that occupied these areas including a 4-inch maroon baseboards to match the design throughout.
