
Men's Golf Prepares for Final Fall Tournament

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The College of Charleston men's golf team returns to action this Friday, October 25 for the final tournament of the fall campaign at the White Sands Collegiate tournament hosted by West Virginia. The tournament takes place at The Ocean Golf Club in Paradise Island.
The Cougars will be joined by UC San Diego, Maryland, Rutgers, Houston, Emory, West Virginia, Ball State, George Mason, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, and Northern Illinois. Currently the #40 ranked team in the country, the Cougars are the highest ranked team in the event.
Charleston is coming off off a sixth place finish at the Qubein Cup, ahead of two Power Four programs. Kieron Van Wyk, who is ranked #22 in the nation, led the Cougars by securing his second straight top three finish of the 2024-25 campaign. Van Wyk finished the tournament ranked in the top ten in par 4 scoring (4.08), par 5 scoring (4.50), and total birdies (8). Jack Tickle finished at T13 competing as an individual (+8) while Miles Eubanks had eight birdies at T17 (+10)
Leading up to the White Sands Collegiate this fall, the Cougars placed seventh at in the Inverness intercollegiate defeating five Power Four teams, and 10th at the Knoxville Collegiate over four Power Four teams.
