
Four Cougars Gather Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Four members of the College of Charleston women's soccer team were awarded postseason honors, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Faith Slimmer and Emma Wennar were named to the First Team, while Shae Yocum was named to the Second Team. Millie Cluxton rounded out the nominations, earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team.
Slimmer led the team in scoring, tallying nine goal and eight assists in the regular season. Starting in 18 games, Slimmer earned a hat trick versus Charleston Southern and two game-winning goal while leading the conference in assists, comes in at 20th in the country. Slimmer earned a spot in the Top-Drawer Soccer Top 100 Players list during the 2024 season as well.
Wennar tallied six goals on the season and seven assists, with two game-winning goals.
She scored two goals to propel the team to a victory over William & Mary as well as one goal and one assist in the Cougars' win over Elon at home.
Yocum started in 18 games for the Cougars during the regular season, logging 1,562 minutes. Anchoring the backline, Charleston tallied 12 shutouts on the season with the help of Yocum.
Cluxton gathered minutes in 18 games this season, earning three goals and four assists in her rookie season. Cluxton scored her first career goal versus Wofford and again in the tie versus USC Upstate. Cluxton played a key role in the teams 3-0 victory over Elon, earning one goal and one assist.
