CHARLESTON, S.C.- College of Charleston head women's soccer coach Christian Michner announced the signing of five players on National Signing Day.
 
The class consists of Lyla Schick, Madeira Gwozdo, Addison Chandler, Lucia Touwsma and Macie Rogers.
 
"The 2025 class is another dynamic group of players that are competing at the highest youth levels of soccer," said Michner. "They all come from different environments and that will help us as we play against some of the best teams from all over the country. We are so excited about adding this class to our program as they will not only make us better on the field, but also really fit with the culture and environment that we have created here in Charleston."
 
Lyla Schick | Forward | Nashville, Tenn.

• Attended Harpeth Hall School
• Named to the All-Region Team and Most Outstanding Athlete
• Four-year starter on Tennessee State Championship team
• Competed for Tennessee Soccer Club ECNL

"Lyla is a super dynamic player who can play anywhere out wide in our setup," says Michner. "She is creative with the ball and has a lot of pace and that will really make her dangerous for us going forward in the attack. We think Lyla will come in ready to play and compete for us at this level."
 
Madeira Gwozdo | Defender/Midfielder | Summerville, S.C.

• Attended Pinewood Prep
• Three-time state champion
• Three-time All-Region player
• Named All-State plater

"MG is a versatile player that can play centrally in our midfield or as a center back on our backline," says Michner. "She is so composed on the ball and will really be a great option for us in either spot. Her technical ability is so sharp and it's a part of her game that really differentiates her from other players. We feel that MG is ready for the next step."
 
Addison Chandler | Defender/Winger | Shelbyville, Ky.

• Attended Christian Academy of Louisville
• Competed for Racing Louisville Academy ECNL
• Two-time district champion
• Named to 7^th region first team, district tournament team and region tournament team

"Addison is another dynamic player whose left foot will add another dimension to our team's ability to attack and move the ball," says Michner. "She has an engine that doesn't stop and will compete right away for a spot in our backline. She has been playing in Racing Louisville's Pro Youth Academy and we know that will prepare her for the next level." 
 
Lucia Touwsma | Goalkeeper | Atlanta, Ga.

• Attended North Atlanta High School
• Competed for Tophat, captained team
• 2022 high school Rookie of the Year
• All-region 6A team

"Lucia is a very athletic goalkeeper that is excellent in her technique and shot stopping ability," says Michner. "She is also fantastic with the ball at her feet and in the various types of distribution. She will come in and make our GK Corp. better immediately and will challenge for a starting spot from the jump."
 
Macie Rogers | Defender/Winger | Chapin, S.C.

• Attended Chapin High School
• Three-time region 4 champion
• 5A State Runner-up
• Competed for South Carolina United FC ECNL

"Macie is a solid defender who is not only good on the ball coming out of the back and starting the attack, but also a strong presence on the backline," says Michner. "She has a lot of great qualities in her game and will give us great depth in our defensive positions as she competes in our environment each day."
