CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston athletic department saw record breaking success during the fall competition seasons, achieving the third highest overall win percentage in school history.
"From August through December, Charleston student-athletes thrived on the field, court, ring, links, course, and water. We are proud of the competitive success our coaches and student-athletes achieved this fall," said Director of Athletics Matt Roberts. "We look forward to continuing this momentum into the winter and spring seasons. What a great time to be in Charleston!"
Charleston teams recorded an overall win percentage of 63.37% in 2024, only behind the 2004 (73.89%) and 2003 seasons (71.62%).
Additionally, several Cougar teams made program history. The women's golf team won three tournament titles in the fall for the first time in program history. Men's golf also won a team title in the Bahamas, while the women's cross country team won the Phoenix Invitational for the program' first team win since 2019. Equestrian added to the books, securing the program's first ever NCEA win over Lynchburg.
