
Men's Basketball Secures 20th Win

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team recorded its 20th win of the season on Monday night over William & Mary, 66-57 at TD Arena. The Cougars remain in sole possession of first place in the CAA.
Kobe Rodgers started the contest with a steal and score before the Cougars fell cold, going 1-for-8 from the field during a six-minutes stretch.
Early turnovers plagued Charleston, allowing William & Mary to go on a 16-4 run. Reyne Smith provided a spark from behind the arc with just under eight minutes to play, sinking the first and drawing the foul on a second attempt to bring the Cougars within three at 20-17.
Charleston ended the half on an 8-0 run to enter the locker room down one 26-25. The Cougars 25 first half points were their lowest of the season at the break.
The Cougars started the second half on a 15-5 run and took their largest lead of the contest at 47-37 with 8:18 left to play. The Tribe came within three in the final minutes play before a Rodgers finesse layup and Frankie Policelli three sealed the Cougars' 20th victory of the season.

- Ante Brzovic matched his season-high with 12 rebounds followed by Policelli and Rodgers, both with six. Rodgers added 12 points.

- With the win, Charleston has secured the 31st 20-win season in program history.
- The Cougars will travel to the Mid-Atlantic for a two-game road trip at Delaware and Towson. Charleston will face the Blue Hens on Thursday, February 22 followed by a bout with the Tigers on February 24.
