CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team recorded its 20
th win of the season on Monday night over William & Mary, 66-57 at TD Arena. The Cougars remain in sole possession of first place in the CAA.
Kobe Rodgers started the contest with a steal and score before the Cougars fell cold, going 1-for-8 from the field during a six-minutes stretch.
Early turnovers plagued Charleston, allowing William & Mary to go on a 16-4 run.
Reyne Smith provided a spark from behind the arc with just under eight minutes to play, sinking the first and drawing the foul on a second attempt to bring the Cougars within three at 20-17.
Charleston ended the half on an 8-0 run to enter the locker room down one 26-25. The Cougars 25 first half points were their lowest of the season at the break.
The Cougars started the second half on a 15-5 run and took their largest lead of the contest at 47-37 with 8:18 left to play. The Tribe came within three in the final minutes play before a Rodgers finesse layup and
Frankie Policelli three sealed the Cougars' 20
th victory of the season.
KEY COUGARS
- Policelli and Smith led the Cougars with 15 points each.
- Ante Brzovic matched his season-high with 12 rebounds followed by Policelli and Rodgers, both with six. Rodgers added 12 points.
- James Scott totaled four blocks in an excellent defensive performance.

- Charleston outrebounded W&M 41-37.
- The Cougars' 65 points is the lowest scored in a win this season.
- With the win, Charleston has secured the 31st 20-win season in program history.
