
Cougars Look for Regular Season Title Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team welcomes Campbell to TD Arena on Thursday, February 29 for the penultimate game of the regular season. Action is set for 7:00 p.m. at TD Arena

STORYLINES
- The Camels defeated UNCW on Monday night in Buies Creek, allowing Charleston to secure at least a share of the regular season title and a double-bye at the upcoming CAA tournament. A win over Campbell or Hofstra on March 2 would secure the first outright regular season title for the Cougars since joining the CAA and the program's first overall since 2003. There has not been an outright regular season champion since Hofstra took the title in 2020.
- Charleston defeated Campbell 90-67 in their first meeting this season on January 27 in Buies Creek. Ben Burnham led the Cougars with 16 points, followed by Jordan Crawford with 13, Reyne Smith with 12 and Bryce Butler with 12 in a balanced offensive performance.
- The Cougars are coming off a 72-56 victory over Towson on Saturday in Maryland. Charleston shot a whopping 68.2% from deep, the sixth best three-point percentage in a single game in NCAA Division I men's basketball this season.
- Charleston is one of 22 teams in the nation with 22 wins. The program ranks eighth in the country in bench points per game (31.86), third in three-point attempts per game (30.7), and ninth in three-pointers made per game (10.4). CJ Fulton continues to lead the country in assist turnover ratio (4.76). He has committed just four turnovers during the month of February with 11 assists in last weekend road trip at Delaware and Towson.
- Campbell upset UNCW 105-100 in 2OT in an instant classic in Gore Arena. The game was the highest scoring game ever in Gore Arena with 205 combined points.
- Anthony Dell'Orso has scored 20+ in seven straight games, during those seven games he's averaging 26 points and 7 rebounds per game. Dell'Orso is second in the CAA at 22.5 ppg in league play (0.1 behind the league leader), he's also second in the CAA shooting 51% in league games.
- Prior to tip-off, Charleston will honor Ante Brzovic, Frankie Policelli, Butler, and Smith on reaching career scoring milestones.
- Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off
- Concession stands will open when doors open, and the Cougar Spirit Shop will open one hour prior to tip-off.
- Add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay App prior to arriving at TD Arena for the smoothest entry experience.
