
Sailing Wins UNCW Trophy Regatta

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston sailing team won the UNCW Trophy Regatta over the weekend in Wilmington.
The Cougars posted 41 points to take the top spot in the 15 team field. Charlie Mckenzie, Nina Lubchenco, Harrison Thomson, and Grace Beard represented the Cougars in Wilmington for the win.
Charleston also competed at home in the Phebe Corckran King Women's Race. Charleston finished second behind Stanford after one round robin on Saturday. There was not enough wind in the Charelston Harbor on Sunday to compete. Charleston defeated Jacksonville, Tulane and South Florida with skippers Grace Squires, Emma Tallman and Emily Alfortish and crew members Chloe Hudgins, Noelle Owen and Lucy Klempen.
